These salvage retired foundry flasks originally held the sand at the foundry. A pattern would be imprinted to the sand contained within the flask.  In this case, molten aluminum was poured to form the part.  These well worn  cracked and retired flasks were perfect for end tables.  The aluminum flasks are supported on 1/4" hot rolled steel plate legs with an 11 gage hot rolled sheet shelf.  Natural hot rolled mill scale finished with a clear acrylic sealer and a 1/2" tempered glass top.
